Camping with our BEST FRIENDS

I just want to tell you, how much I love the friends I have made since I met Kyle.
I love how close they are with Kyle.
I love how much they already love Q.
I love how they have made me feel like one of them.

This last weekend was my 23rd birthday... AHHH!!!
No, camping wasn't my first choice of activities I would like to do on my birthday, but Kyle had a downhill mountain bike race and I had to support him in that... SO COOL, RIGHT??
Jared, my cousin Ryan, and Kyle all raced.

Friday, we drove down after Kyle took a math test.
When we got there, everyone said, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY."
We went and got milkshakes, and headed up to Kale's grandparents land near Panguitch Lake...
NOT EVEN KIDDING... One of the most beautiful places I've seen.
They took me out to a 'dive' for dinner, which was super fun.
On the ride to Panguitch, I told Kyle that this was going to be the first birthday I didn't have a birthday cake.... Poor me, right?
WRONG... Kyle talked to Brady and told them to go get me one.
That night, we were sitting around the campfire, when Brady and Jady brought out my cake...
I felt so blessed at that moment... All these macho boys and Jady singing 'happy birthday' to little ol' me. I have the most amazing friends and the most amazing husband!!!

Saturday, the boys got up at 5 to go fishing and came back at 9 with one fish... haha.
They had a small boat with no ores, so they used SHOVELS...
WHO ARE THESE BOYS?!! They seriously never seize to amaze me.
When they got back, Kyle, Q, Jared, and I drove to Brian Head, for the downhill race.
The others came right before his race.
Kyle's family showed up to show their support.
My cousins, Ryan, Kaylyn and their little girl Maylie were there as well.
The boys went down for a couple practice rides and waited for their race...
THEY DID SO GOOD!! According to me... I don't know according to professionals, but I think they did AMAZING...
After the races, some of us went fishing... I caught one!!!
THE BIGGEST ONE... Kyle will deny it, but mine was bigger!! ;)
That night, we played cards... I HATE CARDS, but that seems to be a lot of what these ALAMO people do... Maybe I should start getting used to it...
It was actually really fun though.

Sunday, was just relaxing.
They boys played a little catch with a football.
Jady and I played games.
We ate, then ate again, then again.
We shot some BB guns.
Brady and Kyle pushed over trees.

BEST OF ALL, they boys did just about everything. Cooked every meal, built all the fires, did anything I really asked of them... I'm not demanding, but they literally would do anything for me and my family (at least they have so far). I honestly can't say enough good things about these people.

ALL IN ALL... great weekend, great birthday, with great friends.

I LOVE Kale, Kobee, Jared, Brady and Jady SO much...
Thank you for making my birthday and the weekend one I won't forget!
I am so IN LOVE with Kyle and Q, my boys!!

Love

My family has always meant the world to me...
I've always been close with my family.
Now I have a family, that I made!!! How cool?

I can't even begin to explain how much Kyle and Q mean to me.
I even told a friend, when we were on a walk and this dog came running behind us (scared us half to death, it was a HUGE dog)... I am pretty sure if a dog tried to attack my family I could take it out with my bare hands!!! Don't get me wrong, I am a dog LOVER, but that was just an example of the what I feel I could do to protect my family.
Motherly love? Right?
Crazy?... Maybe...

In the last 5 months since Q has been born, so much has happened...
-Q was blessed in Alamo on May 3.

-Kyle started mountain biking... ahhhh!

-We took our first family vacation to Lake Mead

-Q got to meet his Great Great Grandma Ikhamal

-We celebrated our first 4th of July as a new family

-I started nursing school
-Kyle got a new job
-At around 3 months Q rolled from his tummy to his back for the first time, and around 4 months he rolled from his back to his tummy. (This is a BIG DEAL guys)

It seems like Q is already getting so big, and I just want him to stop for just a minute.  I am loving every second (well almost every second) of this whole parenting thing. Kyle and I have adjusted and its been the biggest blessing. Can you believe I am sealed to these to amazing boys for time and ALL eternity?? I am one lucky girl.

So much more has happened in these last five months, but I don't think I could get through them all. All I know is that Q has so much family that loves him. He has the most amazing grandparents who are going to spoil him rotten, and the most incredible aunts and uncles.

BUT HEY WHO COULDN'T LOVE THIS BOY...

Our baby Q!

I decided... Instead of catching up from the beginning of mine and Kyle's relationship, I am going to try and stay on top of my life, as of the NOW. Also, being a new mom... I kind of want to start working more on myself and my appearance, so more to come on that.

So, as of now, I have a beautiful baby boy, Q, and the most handsome and amazing husband, Kyle.  They are literally my world. Everything I do revolves around them and their lives, and I absolutely love every minute of it. I'm not going to lie, it gets hard at times, but the feeling of being a good wife and mom makes it all worth while... although, I could work on both of them.

Q was born March 10, 2014. I cannot believe he is already 2 months old. Time has flown. He was 5 pounds 15 ounces and 18.5 inches long... now he is 10 pounds 7 ounces and 21 inches long. He has almost doubled in size!!! Ahhhhhh.... He has been such a blessing in our lives for many reasons, but the biggest reason is not even a year ago we thought we couldn't even have kids.

I will never forget the day I told Kyle I was pregnant. We had been going through the process of In Vitro for the last two months and that morning I went in for blood work. They told me they would call me around lunch time... So I was thinking, ok, maybe 12 or 1.... They didn't call me until 4 o'clock!!! Kyle was home from work by then, but I wanted to be the one to tell him. So when they called I went into the back room and answered the phone. They said, "Hi is this McKenzie." I said, "Yes, How are you?" They said, "good, guess what? You're pregnant." I couldn't scream or cry, because I didn't want Kyle to have any ideas. So I thanked her calmly, got off the phone and went into the kitchen where Kyle was pacing back and forth. He turned around and looked and me and I said, "Guess what? We're pregnant!!!" He looked at me in disbelief with the coolest expression you could ever imagine. We both were in awe... We were PREGNANT, something we thought impossible only months before. I jumped in his arms and we kissed and hugged and cried. Seriously the greatest feeling I have every experienced. Q is literally our miracle child... He is an In Vitro baby. It was a long and rough process, but we ended up with the perfect baby. He is our beautiful, brown hair, blue eyed miracle.
