Oh the Holiday Season!!

Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the Holiday Season... What compares? This year is a year of first for Kyle and I. Our first Christmas and Thanksgiving as a married couple. Honestly nothing can compare to this winter season of 'firsts.' Everything is so much better with Kyle by my side.

For thanksgiving, we went to my Dad's.... Him and Kyle played football with the ward and after we feasted. Happy Thanksgiving!!

One of 5 plates for Kyle :)

For Christmas, we went to Alamo, NV and it was honestly nothing I have ever experience in my life. We went to the sand dunes on Christmas Day... Who does that? Well we did... and I loved it. This Christmas taught me the meaning of Christmas more than any other. Its not about the gifts, its not about the snow... its the magic in the day. We spent the entire day, without snow, without gifts... but we spent it with the people who mean the most to us. I wasn't with my family for the first time, but I felt at home. Although I missed my family, Kyle's family has always made me feel like a part of theirs. Merry Christmas!!

Our First Tree!!! Awwww!!
Merry Christmas

We don't look real good, but I was so happy. Kyle surprised me with a drive through light show. It was so cool!!

We had our annual Temple Square Run.

We both got awesome kicks too!!

Lions vs. Broncos

Every year Kyle's mom goes to Denver, Colorado to a Broncos game, because she is honestly their number one fan. This year Kyle and I got to go because the Broncos were playing his team, the ALL MIGHT Detroit Lions!!! We stayed with Uncle Matt and his house was awesome... He had so much land with horses. Although I am allergic... I love all animals, it was such a great weekend.

Ready for the game!!

We got to tailgate with Huge Fans!! It was awesome!!

My Dad has never been to this stadium, so Kyle and I felt pretty darn good about ourselves. We beat my Dad, Ryan Laws, in something :)

All in all..... It was such a great weekend. Lions won and for Kyle's first NFL game, one of the greatest ever... Go Lions!!!

Getting Our Hike On...

As a married couple, Kyle and I are quite boring, so we decided to embark on our own little journey up the mountain to Stewart Falls. Our "couple friends" Josh and Molly Roemer joined us. The hike wasn't too hard, the tree colors were beautiful, and the weather was almost perfect. It was so great!

Josh and Kyle were really intrigued by this bees nest!! They threw a rock at it and just hoped that we wouldn't get attacked... luckily we didn't.

Josh and Kyle get really side tracked!! They tried breaking it.

This is Kyle wanting to get hypothermia...

Blanding Cabin

So... some of the Laws family goes to the 'blanding cabin' every year. It has been in our family for a long time and this was OUR first time ever going. Kyle and I got to go their for our first time together. Honestly, camping and the outdoors hasn't been one of my favorite things to do (thanks to my father), but this weekend was awesome. Kyle was at home there... anything physically possible for him, he did. He stayed busy and kept me feeling safe. We hung out with the Casper family all weekend, along with Robert. We did so much... and it was the perfect getaway before the new school year.

We stopped by Hole N' the Rock

I love these girls!!

The ALL FAMOUS Blanding Cabin!

You can't see this, but we were dragging sticks behind the truck making awesome designs (thats what I was doing). Kyle won making the stick the sharpest though (the whole point of what we were doing).

Kyle working hard, staying busy.

Kyle put on a whole Horseshoe tournament, it was AWESOME!!!

Some of the clan watching the nerve racking tourny!

My man

Kyle and I were on a team, Michelle and my dad were on a team. Our bet was that if we lost, Kyle had to wear a shirt that says "Lions are the worst team in the NFL" and I had to wear a shirt that says "my dad is a better Athlete than my husband." If they lost, he would take us out to THE ROOF restaurant :)
AS YOU CAN SEE WE ARE THE HAPPY WINNERS!!!

Who'd uh thunk?

My dad got married!! I know, right? What was he thinking at his age? Just kidding, he is a good looking young man. The wedding was beautiful. Very simple, but extremely elegant! It was a really small and low key wedding, just how my dad likes it. He got married to Michelle Phelps on August 12, and it was a great way to spend my Birthday weekend. I am so happy for my dad... All I want for him is to be happy. :) He is a good man and deserves the best! Congrats dad.

Don't we look dashing?

Beautiful View. That little white speck right there... is my dad pondering just hours before he tied the knot!

I was escorted by my lovely husband! The girls were escorted by the man of the hour :) Such good looking men!
